LEARN HOW

EMF's and 5G

Oh dear. I can hear the eye balls rolling or the panic kicking in. It’s either “we’re all getting fried by invisible waves, where’s my tin hat?” or “don’t be stupid, there’s nothing to worry about”.

Firstly, what does EMF stand for? Electromagnetic Field.

Secondly, where do EMF’s come from? Mobile phones, laptops, Wi-Fi, baby monitors, smart meters, power lines etc.

As a researcher I read, listen to and watch many people putting their point across on the EMF topic. Now I’m no scientist but these are the facts-

  1. EMF’s have shown without doubt to have a negative affect on the human body. (See links below for the research).

  2. EMF’s will get stronger in the near future as 5G rolls out across the developed world.

This should be enough for everyone to at least take note of how it could be affecting your health or those around you.

A personal example is how my wife and I used our phones for our morning alarm. When I first found out about EMF’s we started using Airplane mode at night. My wife noticed immediately her weekly headaches diminished. As for me, I can’t say I noticed much. Is she more sensitive to EMF’s than me? Is her immune weaker? Was it placebo? It doesn’t matter. It helped.

I like how Chris Kresser puts it- “EMFs from cell phones, high-voltage power lines, Wi-Fi, and other electronics could be considered another modern environmental toxin and therefore a contributor to oxidative stress. As I’ve said before, you should lower your risk where you can.”

So the next question is how do we lower our risk?

  1. As I mentioned earlier, put your phone on Airplane mode as often as possible.

  2. Turn your Wi-Fi off at night. Top tip- use a timer so you don’t need to remember.

  3. Limit your exposure by keeping laptops off your lap and phones in a bag, not in your pocket I’ve seeing women storing their phones in their bra. Having the phone right next to the soft breast tissue is not ideal and there might be underwire in the bra which could conduct more EMF’s to that area.

  4. You could look at having all computers wired to the ethernet like in the old days so no Wi-Fi, especially important in the school or workplace where there are multiple devices.

  5. Use speaker phone or headphones when on calls.

  6. Turn smart TV’s off by the plug.

  7. Remember that kids are more susceptible as their bones and skin are thinner and they have a higher water content in their tissues. Another reason to be mindful about using baby monitors right next to them for hours at a time or leaving your phone on the pram next to them while you walk.

Unfortunately, as with some other big industries, making profits comes before peoples health. This doesn’t mean you have to run for the hills, just follow the tips above and you’ll be hugely reducing any risks.
